When completing a tenant screening background check we can provide a variety of search results depending on the needs and requests of the landlord. The most common are listed below:
VERIFY APPLICATION- We attempt to verify all information submitted on the initial application including income, prior rental history, past addresses and employment history.
DRIVERS LICENSE SEARCH- We will verify driving privileges in Massachusetts and vehicle ownership.
SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER CHECK- This check provides names and addresses associated with the social security number provided to help confirm identity and verify other information.
CREDIT REPORT- A credit report can be obtained if requested with the signed consent of the applicant. This may help in determining ability to manage housing costs and history with prior commitments.
EMPLOYMENT VERIFICATION- This includes checking dates of current employment, job title, salary, job security and other useful information.
PERSONAL REFERENCE CHECKS- We contact listed and unlisted personal references to gather information about character and lifestyle.
CIVIL RECORDS- We will search for civil records, eviction records, litigation, bankruptcy, judgments, tax liens, and law suits which would be relative to character and financial responsibility.
CRIMINAL RECORD SEARCH- If C.O.R.I. (Criminal Offender Record Information) is requested, Massachusetts criminal records can be checked through the state "i-CORI" system. Further information regarding "i-CORI" can be obtained by copying the link below:
